Beltane occurs on May 1st on the yearly wheel. It's also known as Mayday.

There were 5 alters set up around the park's field. This is a picture of the main alter, which was in the center of the other 4 element-based alters.

I also attended the SPA event in order to meet many new friends, many of which I meant through my online groups. This picture is of Stella, Rain and me before the opening cermonies began.

One of the most commonly recognized events of a Beltane event is the maypole dance. This picture is of the maypole we all helped create, taken right before the dance began.

I think that one of the main things involved with paganism is drumming. Here I am with a drum, right before the opening cermony.

Sal and his wife worked as the high priestess and priest for the day's main ritual ceremony. Sal is also the creator of the Spokane Pagan Alliance.

The day ended with a hige bonfire around which we shared stories and songs and danced our little pagan hearts out.

There were a few people who acted as the drummers for the day's cermonies. Rain was one of them. Here she is, leading in the back of the drumming line.

Here's my sweetie, Eric. His pagan path leans more towards the asian paths, but he still really enjoys joining me for more wiccan-based events.
